He turned out a good dozen of them, which we lined up on a floured baking sheet, before the thought occured to him to “experiment”. Such experiments included, “Let’s see what happens when you use two wrappers? Three? Four?” and — words to strike fear in any mother’s heart — ”I made a surprise dumpling. Guess what’s inside!” It turned out to be just another bunched up wrapper inside the skin.
