It’s time for the annual Growing Up Asian in America contest! Now in it’s 21st year, this year’s contest theme is Give Someone a Gold Medal. With the 2016 Summer Olympics coming up, the Asian Pacific Fund is asking Bay Area students to think about a person in the Asian Pacific American community to honor with a gold medal.

The contest is open to students in grades K-12 who live or go to school in the nine county San Francisco Bay Area region (Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano or Sonoma Counties). Art, essay and video entries are all encouraged… with three art and writing winners in each grade awarded $1000 in cash and prizes. Up to three video winners will receive iPad minis and have their work featured online.
The deadline to enter is March 4!
