Growing Up Asian in America 2015: Celebrating Our Roots

It’s time for the Bay Area’s Growing Up Asian in America annual contest! 2015 is the 20th anniversary of this art, essay, and video contest for Asian American and Pacific Islander youth in the nine-county region around the San Francisco Bay Area and the Asian Pacific Fund will be awarding $20,000 in cash and prizes, including three iPad minis for video winners.

Students in Kindergarten through 12th grade are invited to tell about their family’s arrival in America. How does that moment in your family history compare to your experience growing up both Asian and American? Kids are especially untied to talk to older family members.

This year’s theme is Celebrating Our Roots.The contest organizer, the Asian Pacific Fund, invites students in Kindergarten through 12th grade to tell about their family’s arrival in America.
