Brilliant. I’m talking both about Margaret Cho and whoever decided to cast her as Ken Jeong’s sister on ABC’s Dr. Ken. This picture says it all. In an episode called Dr. Wendi: Coming to LA airing this Friday, November 13 at 8:30/7:30 Central, everyone’s favorite Korean American comedienne plays Ken’s younger sister, who’s not only a doctor — she also plays one on TV. (See what I did there?)
It’s been over 20 years since Cho had her own short-lived sitcom All American Girl, and I’m glad to this nod to her legacy.Plus, she’s really funny. Cho and Jeung have an onscreen chemistry that feels like actual sibling rivalry.

I remember expectantly watching All American Girl back in the 90s, and feeling like it just didn’t do justice to her comedic chops. BTW, if you want to hear some of Cho’s own thoughts about the production of her show, check out HBO Comedy Half-Hour 08: Margaret Cho, which is now streaming for free on Amazon Prime.
