One of the most interesting things about my recent visit to the Pixar studios in Emeryville, California was meeting several Asian American animators who worked on Pixar’s upcoming summer film Inside Out. First was Patrick Lin, who sat down for a roundtable with bloggers to explain his role with photography and camera angles — something I found unusual, since I didn’t think animated films used any cameras?
