You know the midterm elections are coming up on Tuesday, November 4, right?
That means the deadline to register to vote is fast approaching (it varies by state—in California, it’s October 20), so make sure you are signed up, especially if you have recently moved or have changed names. The good news is that recent polls show that the majority of Asian Americans plan to vote in November. The bad news is that most AAPIs also feel that politicians are ignoring them. “As many as 64 percent of those surveyed believe politicians don’t care much about what they think,” says Christine Chen, Executive Director of APIA Vote.
